Automatic filter holder recognition

One of the ways Prometheus accelerates the grinding process is through Eureka’s patented automatic filter holder recognition. This advanced technology instantly recognises the portafilter placed in the fork and dispenses the appropriate dose. With three programmable doses and an “extra dose” mode, it covers all your grinding needs for the day.

Electronic burr regulation

Zeroing in on the perfect grind size is still done through a micrometric adjustment system like all Eureka grinders. But this is done more easily and accurately with the electronic burr regulation on the Prometheus. Not only will you see the distance of the burrs but it's equivalent in microns as well.

The current grind setting can be viewed on the touchscreen interface. Adjusting the grind size can be done electronically on the touchscreen as well as on the regulation knob beside it.

Temperature and noise reduction

With its 85mm burrs and powerful motor, the Prometheus grinds quickly. But it does so without heating up the coffee beans in the process. The temperature monitoring system in the grinding chamber works with a forced cooling system to ensure that your coffee is not prematurely heated, preserving freshness up to the last second before extraction.

The Prometheus is also designed to be quiet despite its power -- it produces 20db less noise than conventional grinders.

Diamond burrs and ELR system

Eureka’s patented Pure Diamond burrs offer superb durability and sharpness that allows its grinders to produce uniformly-sized coffee grounds at any setting. The Prometheus is equipped with 58mm Pure Diamond flat burrs so you get fluffy grounds at an incredible speed.

In addition to the automatic filter holder recognition and electronic burr regulation, accurate dosing is also ensured with the Extreme Low Retention (ELR) design which dispenses the grounds from a 15-degree sloped grinding chamber.
